Good rower, slow delivery

I ordered the Max Rower during a flash sale and got a pretty decent discount. The rower itself is sturdy and the water resistance feels really good. The assembly was straightforward, didn't even need the professional assembly option. My only real gripe was the shipping time; it took almost two weeks to get to my place in Florida, which felt a bit long. Customer service was helpful when I called to check on the status, so that was a plus. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, but faster delivery would make it perfect.

Reliable workouts always

I've been using CityRow for over a year now, mostly for the on-demand rowing workouts. I got the Max Rower last year during a holiday sale. The classes are consistently challenging and well-taught. This time, I just renewed my annual subscription and everything went smoothly, same as always. They always deliver a great workout.

Good app, lots of classes

I got the CityRow App a few weeks ago and it's been pretty good. The workouts are fun, especially the HIIT ones. I just did a mobility class today, which was a nice change. Easy to use on my iPad.

Max Rower purchase experience

I decided to invest in the Max Rower after trying a friend's. The ordering process on the website was clear, and I appreciated seeing the financing options with Affirm right there. Shipping took about 8 days to reach me in Arizona, which was within the timeframe they quoted. The rower arrived well-packaged; no damage during transit. Assembly was manageable, took me about an hour following the instructions. I also bought a rower mat and phone mount with it, which are both good quality. I signed up for the digital fitness subscription and started with some beginner rowing classes. The instructors are clear, and the app connects seamlessly to the rower. I had a quick question about linking my heart rate monitor, and support via chat was responsive and solved it in minutes. It's a solid piece of equipment and the whole ecosystem is well-integrated. Definitely a good total body fitness program.

Is there usually a Black Friday sale for CityRow? Looking to get a rower for my wife as a gift.

L Laura K. 2 months ago
Oh yeah, totally. They usually have decent discounts around Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Keep an eye out starting November.

They've had sales every Black Friday for the past few years, usually like a few hundred off the machines. Worth waiting for for sure.

Thinking of getting a CityRow rower, but worried about getting stuck with it if it's not for me. How's their return policy?

S Steve Beaumont 1 month ago
Returns were super easy for me. Just make sure you initiate it within the return window.

yeah, they give you 30 days to return the rower, but you gotta have the original packaging. just a heads up on that.

Hey guys, for anyone who's ordered the Max Rower, how long did it actually take to arrive in, say, California?

K Kevin 1 month ago
Mine got to LA in about 1.5 weeks after I ordered, maybe 8-9 days. Not too bad.

Anyone know if I can use Affirm or something similar to pay for a CityRow machine? Don't want to drop it all at once.

M Mia P. 2 months ago
Yep, they do Affirm. I used it for my Max Rower last year.

Trying to decide between CityRow and Hydrow. What makes CityRow better, or what are the main differences people have noticed?

I Ivy 2 months ago
I went with CityRow because I liked the water resistance feel more than Hydrow's electromagnetic thing. It felt more natural.

Honestly, it's personal preference. CityRow's instructors are awesome, and the water sound is super zen. Hydrow's screen is bigger though, if that matters to you.
